DINING WITH THE DEAD
The Windham Restaurant and the New England Ghost Project proudly present evening of “Food and Spirits”. Join us every second Monday of the month for dinner and a paranormal experience.
JOIN US JUNE 9 AT 7PM FOR AN EVENING WITH CHRISTOPHER BALZANO
“It could be any town in America, and in many ways it is. There is a Freetown that sees the light of day and another that comes out when the sun is down and the darker things come to the surface. The Freetown State Forest is at the heart of it all, and the reputation of the dark woods there has been slowly building for generations. Every few years it boils over and explodes. But there is something walking among the trees that has been reported by people for the past thirty years. Zombies, ghosts and Pukwudgies share the forest with serial killers and cults.”
Christopher Balzano is a teacher and writer from the Boston area. He is the founder and director of Massachusetts Paranormal Crossroads, an online collection of legends and ghost stories from Massachusetts and the surrounding states. He has been investigating the paranormal for more than ten years and has been writing about those experiences for the past five. He has been a contributor to Jeff Belanger's Encyclopedia of Haunted Places and Weird Massachusetts and was one of the writers behind Weird Hauntings. His writing has been featured in Haunted Times and Mystery Magazine and has been covered by the Boston Globe, the Boston Herald, the Standard Times, and Worcester Magazine.
Christopher currently lives in Woburn, Massachusetts, with his wife and young son. His first book with Schiffer Publishing, Dark Woods: Cults, Crime and the Paranormal in the Freetown State Forest, is an exploration of one apex of the Bridgewater Triangle and scary things that find their way there.
